Composition

  • Kojic acid
    - It is a chemical produced from different types of fungi.
        It is formed as a by-product of a fermentation process.
    - It blocks the tyrosinase enzyme which is responsible
        for melanin formation. Thus it prevents pigmentation
        and is used as a brightening agent.
  • Lactic acid
  • Citric acid
  • Hydroquinone
    - Works by decreasing the production and increasing the
        breakdown of melanosomes in melanocytes. It does this
        by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase.
  • Salicylic acid
